Xbox has partnered with a pizzeria chain to bring a pizza promotion ahead of the release of Doom: The Dark Ages.

Doom: The Dark Ages is getting a food promotion, and it's neither Mountain Dew nor Doritos: Xbox has announced that it has partnered with Prince St. Pizza to offer a Doom-inspired pizza that comes with some digital goods.

Prince St. Pizza, a pizzeria chain with a handful of locations in the US and Canada, is selling "Hellfire Pepperoni," a pie emphasizing spicy ingredients that supposedly evoke the fire and brimstone of Doom's setting. This pizza includes pepperoni, spicy sauce, habanero peppers, and hot honey, and it comes in Sicilian style (thick, square crust with crispy edges).

Now Playing: DOOM: The Dark Ages | Official Launch Trailer

Purchasers of the Hellfire Pepperoni will also get some digital goodies thrown in. You'll get a timed-exclusive, in-game skin for the Doomslayer alongside a code for a one-month trial of Game Pass. Apparently Prince St. Pizza will also serve the pizza in a custom box, if you order takeout.

If you happen to grab a pizza and get the in-game skin, you'll be able to use it when Doom: The Dark Ages launches later this week, on May 15. This isn't the most outrageous tie-in that Microsoft has announced for the game, either: Last week, the company showed off a custom Harley Davidson decked out in Doom decals and flair. Microsoft is offering a good number of different bundles and preorder bonuses, and you can pick up a special Doom: The Dark Ages Xbox controller, if that's your thing. Be sure to check out all the details about preload requirements and launch times here. In our review, GameSpot gave Doom: The Dark Ages an 8/10, praising its battlefield design and new weaponry.
